What formats can I download?
Capcher generates images in PNG format at high resolution, optimized for sharing on social media, blogs, and presentations. The output is designed to look great on all screen sizes and platforms.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Capcher works without an account for all core features. You can paste a URL, generate an image, and download it immediately. Creating an optional account unlocks generation history so you can revisit past captures.
What social media platforms are supported?
Capcher currently supports X (Twitter) and Threads. We are actively working on adding LinkedIn and Facebook support. Each platform extractor captures post content, author details, and engagement metrics for accurate image generation.
Can I screenshot Instagram posts?
Instagram is not yet supported. Capcher currently supports X (Twitter) and Threads. We plan to expand platform support in future updates. Follow our progress for announcements on new platform availability.
Is Capcher really free?
Yes. Capcher is a free tool for generating social media post images. All core features including URL capture, theme selection, and image download are available at no cost. Premium themes with additional styles are coming soon.
What are premium themes?
Premium themes are additional visual styles for your captured images, offering unique layouts and color schemes beyond the free themes. This feature is coming soon. You can register interest by clicking 'Kabarin Aku' on any premium theme preview.
What data does Capcher collect?
Capcher collects minimal data: your email if you create an account, basic usage analytics, and temporary IP addresses for rate limiting. Generated images are cached temporarily to improve performance. We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
Is my data shared with third parties?
Capcher only shares data with essential service providers: Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Upstash (caching). These providers process data solely to deliver the service. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Why does my screenshot look different from the original post?
Capcher generates styled images using the post data, not pixel-perfect screenshots. The output uses custom themes that present the content in a clean, visually appealing format. Some elements like embedded media or thread context may appear differently from the native platform view.
Is there a limit on how many screenshots I can make?
Capcher applies rate limiting to ensure fair usage for all users. You can generate multiple images per session. If you hit a rate limit, wait a moment and try again. The limits are generous for normal usage patterns.
